Rental Policies

Check In Time & Check Out Time Policies: Check-in is at 3:00 pm & Check Out is at 11:00 am. Please respect the next scheduled guest by being prompt when departing in order for the housekeeping to come inside and start cleaning the rental cabin for the next guest.

Check Out Policies: Guests are required to leave the Rental and Property in the same general condition it was when Guests arrived. Guests should:

1. Wash, dry and put away dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
2. Clean out all food and beverages that guests brought.
3. Place all towels on the bathroom floor.
4. Close all windows and all doors leading to outside.
5. Leave the keys on the table.

Making a Rental Reservation Policy: To make a rental reservation use our website and fill out our secure online rental reservation application. You must use a credit card at the time of booking to hold your cabin rental, a security deposit of $150 will be charged as soon as the rental reservation is made to confirm your rental reservation. Your payment balance will be charged just prior to the day of check-in or the day of check-in and your $150 security will be refunded back to you once your stay is over.

Online Reservation Policy: Guest that submit on online reservation application are not required to fax in a copy of their driver's license and are not required to sign and fax in our Terms & Conditions.

Age Policy: There is a 23 year old minimum age limit to reserve a rental cabin. Guests that don't submit the online reservation must provide proof of identification (Drivers License) before rental reservation is confirmed.

Terms & Conditions Policy: Guests that don't submit the online reservation must sign and fax in our Terms & Conditions.

Security Deposit Policies: A security deposit will be processed in the amount of $150.00 and your full security deposit will be refunded back to you after your stay if no damages are found. The security deposit is used to secure your rental dates and if any damages are found, we will keep your security deposit and additional charges will be charged if damages are more than the security deposit.

Confirmation of Rental Reservation Polices: After making a rental reservation, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail. This confirmation will supply your name, the cabin rental you have reserved, your rental fees, and key pick up/drop off instructions. It is your responsibility to insure you have all the proper information for your cabin rental stay.

Compliance with Local/State/Federal Laws: Guest(s) agrees to abide by all local, state and federal laws, regulations, and statutes including, but not limited to, illegal drug use and under age drinking of alcoholic beverages. Failure to comply will result in immediate eviction and loss of the reservation deposit and all advance payments.

Prohibited Items Policies: Guests are strictly prohibited from bringing illegal drugs, guns, fireworks, kegs, candles, incense, BBQ grills, electric grills, kerosene or propane heaters onto the premises of the Rental Cabin. Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate eviction and loss of the reservation deposit and all advance payments.

Payment Rental Policy: A $150 security deposit will be charged to secure your rental and the remaining balance payment is expected prior to check-in. If you are staying longer than 7 days, we will charge you weekly.

Rental Listing & Pricing Policies: We have made every effort to ensure that all information at The Retreat at Duck's Nest Lake Rentals website is correct. Cabin Rental Rates, fees and taxes are subject to change without notice. Rental Rates do not include tax or cleaning fee and are subject to change. Rental Rates for holidays, special events and weekends may be higher. Minimum night requirements may vary for holidays and special events.

Hot Tub Policy: Children under the age of 12 are prohibited from using the hot tub unless accompanied and supervised by their legal guardian

Acts of God/Construction Noise Policies: The Retreat at Duck's Nest Lake shall not be liable for events beyond their control which may interfere with guest occupancy, including but not limited to Acts of God, acts of governmental agencies, fire, strikes, war, inclement weather and construction noise from nearby sites. NO DISCOUNT OR REFUND will be offered in these circumstances.

Pets Policy: Small adult dogs are allowed at the Lake View Log Cabin for a $10 fee per pet. No pets are allowed at the Lake View Cottage and Conference Center Lodge. You will lose your security deposit if you bring a pet to the Lake View Cottage or if your small adult dog does any damage to the Lake View Log Cabin.

Smoking Policy: No smoking is allowed inside the Lake View Log Cabin, Lake View Cottage Cabin or Conference Center Lodge. You will lose your security deposit if we detect smoking inside.

Key Policy: You will lose your security deposit if you keep our keys.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made in writing, email, fax or certified mail.

* Cancelled Reservation: Less than 30 days notice - $50 cancellation fee
* Cancelled Reservation: Less than 10 days notice - $200 cancellation fee
* Cancelled Reservation: Less than 72 hours notice - Full reservation amount
* No Shows are subject to the entire rental fee amount
